Letter From the Presidents- September

Dear Members,
We hope that you enjoyed a wonderful summer and that it was filled with all the wonders of the season -- spending time with family and friends, working in flower and vegetable gardens, being outdoors, traveling, and making time for the other delights of the warm, long days. And, we trust that you are refreshed and ready for fall and for the beginning of the garden club year, which promises to be filled with bountiful opportunities for friendship, learning, creating, community service and much more. While most of us took a break from garden club activities, thankfully some members worked busily all summer long preparing for the coming year. Lisa Lovejoy lined up terrific speakers for our general meeting programs, with topics ranging from horticulture to design to stewardship of the environment to bird watching and more. Susan Ehrenkranz organized, compiled and produced our directory for the year. Jennifer Rook kept us connected by updating the website. Vicki DiSesa kept our finances straight. Vicki Arkins worked on the Meals and Mantles event, which will be held in December. Many hands worked in Phelps Triangle. And, committee chairs prepared their plans.

Billie and I look forward to seeing you at the first general meeting on October 1st, and we eagerly anticipate the upcoming garden club year.
Sincerely, Debbie
