“Rushing out of the office on a crisp fall day, I am grateful for a moment in the sun at Phelps Triangle. Sitting watching the dappled sun on the variegated red twig dogwood, I am renewed and grateful to The Garden Club of New Haven for their dedication to this beautiful spot,” sighed, Ima Fantasy. When you see the tracks of an adult and child crossing the snow in the triangle when the sidewalks are clear, you can appreciate how much people love Phelps Triangle.
The Triangle is our oldest continuous civic project. It also commemorates two of our members. It is a joy to its neighborhood and it needs our continuous help. Not all of us want to rake leaves, sweep sand or heave mulch but there is something for everyone among the chores. I want to hear from each and every club member. Please call me or email mail and tell me, “What you plan to do to make Phelps Triangle the best it can be.”
These are you ways you can help with our Triangle: We have clean up days. We need expert pruners. We need advice and moral support. We can also use contributions to our expenses, please consider making a gift to “civic” with your dues request next May. Coffee on a cold clean up day would bring a smile too. Please be in touch.
