Shoot & Share Photography Workshop

The photography committee is hosting another shoot andd share for the purpose of enhancing our understanding of garden photography on Sunday, March 7th from 10:30-12:20 (perhaps longer if needed). If you are interested, contact Amy Estabrook at heyamo@snet.net or call her at 203-248-2173 before March 20th.

We will meet at a location TBD (likelly either Marsh Botanical or Edgerton Park.) to take photos of flowers, plants, gardens, after which we will upload the photos to a computer (or your own laptops), then critique the images as a learning exercise using criteria suitable for their intended purpose be it for a garden journal, a flower show, or to print or enlarge for hanging.

In the meantime, if any of you have an amaryllis, or something else in bloom or beginning to sprout in hour garden at the moment, you might try shooting it in a variety of ways---entire plant, close-up of the bloom, move it outdoors and shoot in natural light, try sooting form different vantage points---above, below---and try different colored backdrops.
