Flower Design Committee Calendar of Events


May 19-21, 2011 - "TIMESCAPES," A GCA Flower Show, presented by the Stamford Garden Club, at The Stamford Museum & Nature Center, 39 Scofieldtown Road, Stamford, CT. Hours open to the public: May 20, 1pm - 5pm and May 21, 10am - 4pm. Contact: Marianne Pollak at mmpollak@aol.com

May 25, 2011 – END-OF-THE-YEAR K1 WORKSHOP! – This workshop is being offered as an end of the year review. Designs will be displayed at the Wine Tasting Fundraising Party.

TOPIC – Create your Favorite Traditional Floral Design! Time & Location: TO BE ADVISED. COST: $45 per person. Six people maximum please.

JUNE EVENTS

June 15-19, 2011 – World Association of Flower Arrangers (WAFA) 10th WORLD FLOWER SHOW!! “This Glorious Earth.” Seaport World Trade Center, Boston, MA. Hours: Thurs., June 16 from 11am-9pm; Fri., June 17-Sat., June 18 from 10am-9pm; Sun., June 19 from 10am-5pm.

We are able to get tickets at the group ticket rate of $20 per person. We must have 20 people per day sign up in order to qualify for the group ticket rate. Proposed dates are Thursday, June 16th and Friday, June 17th as we believe these dates to be the least crowded. PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THIS ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY!
