The first lecture of the 2008/09 Garden Club year will be given by Marge Schnerr from the Connecticut Dahlia Society. The lecture is called "The Dahlia Year" and Marge will discuss all aspects of growing, propagating, and storing different types of dahlias.
As a precursor to the lecture, the Connecticut Dahlia Society is having a 50th Anniversary Show at the Pond House in Elizabeth Park, Hartford on August 23rd and 24th.
