September 16 Visiting Gardens trip. Sign up now!

The Visiting Gardens Committee has planned the following trip to three Litchfield County gardens on September 16. In order to finalize the plans, we need a good estimate of how many of you would come. Please let us know no later than August 23 whether you are likely to join us, by replying to this e-mail. Please reply even if you have previously indicated an interest.

When: We will be leaving New Haven at 9:00 am on Tuesday, September 16 and returning to New Haven by 4:30 to 5:00 pm, rain or shine. Those who prefer a half day trip could leave after lunch. If that is what you would do, please let us know in your reply.
Transportation: Unless the number coming would warrant hiring a bus, we will be carpooling. Each of the committee members will drive. If you would be willing to drive, please let us know in your reply.

Itinerary: Bunny Williams' garden in Falls Village. Eric Ruquist, the head gardener, will lead the tour of this garden, and has arranged for the other visits.
Lunch catered by Chaiwalla Tea Room, Salisbury.

Lee Link's garden in Sharon.

Michael Trapp's garden, behind his antique shop in West Cornwall.

The contact person is Mikey Hirschoff mhirschoff@comcast.net

Cost: $25.00 for lunch plus contribution for carpool driver's fuel or share of the cost of a bus.
