FLOWER DESIGN COMMITTEE – Calendar of events

February 18-21, 2010 - The Federated Garden Clubs of CT presents, “SPICE OF LIFE,” a STANDARD FLOWER SHOW. Hours: Feb 18-20, 10am-8pm; Feb 21, 10am – 6pm. Location: Connecticut Convention Center, Hartford, CT

Ticket information: $14; Advance ticket orders for Garden Club members are $9, if ordered by February 9th. Tickets are free if you work at the show!

If interested in entering the show, floral design entries must register by FEBRUARY 1, 2010. A complete flower show schedule can be found in PDF format, on the Federated website, www.ctgardenclubs.org

April 15-16, 2010 – Middletown GC STANDARD FLOWER SHOW, “Connecticut Barns and Farms – Their Beauty and Bounty.”

April 15-17, 2010 – GC of Irvington-on-Hudson GCA FLOWER SHOW, “The Gilded Cage.”

April 29-30, 2010 – Rye GC STANDARD FLOWER SHOW, “Founder’s Keepers.”


June 25-27, 2010 – NEWPORT FLOWER SHOW, “A Gardening Safari – Celebrating the Flora and Fauna of Africa.”


PLAN NOW FOR THE WAFA SHOW IN JUNE 2011!

June 15-19, 2011 – World Association of Flower Arrangers (WAFA) 10th WORLD FLOWER SHOW!! “This Glorious Earth.” Over 600 Floral designs from over 30 countries will be displayed. This is the FIRST TIME that WAFA has had a show in the United States and I’m sure it will be a spectacular event!
