A number of members enjoyed a Visiting Gardens Committee tour of the Eolia mansion and its gardens at the Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, where our excellent guide also told us the history of the Harkness family and its generous philanthropy. Afterwards, Carol Ross graciously provided a delicious lunch at her beautiful home and garden in Old Lyme, on the Lieutenant River. Here are some photos.--- Mikey Hirschoff

Apologies from the editor---I can't seem to get captions
under pictures! The top two are the entrance hall and the breakfast room. The bottom two are
Carol's house, and the walk to the Lieutenant River. The rest are of the garden, from within and
outside. Lovely photos, Mikey!
