FEBRUARY EVENTS

February 24-27, 2011 - The Federated Garden Clubs of CT presents, “CAPTURE THE MAGIC,” a STANDARD FLOWER SHOW; Connecticut Convention Center, Hartford, CT; Hours: Thurs., Feb 24-Sat., Feb 26, 10am-8pm; Sun., Feb 27, 10am – 6pm; Ticket information: $14; Advance ticket orders for Garden Club members are $9, if ordered by February 9^th.

APRIL EVENTS

April 20, 2011 – K1 WORKSHOP – This is the third workshop in a four course series. Workshop scheduled prior to Easter so plant material selected will reflect an Easter theme/colors. TOPIC – SYMMETRICAL TRIANGLE to be discussed and created. Time: 12-2pm; Location: Lower Level Conference Room of the Jenkins Building at the CT Exp Ag Station. COST: $45 per person. Workshop will be canceled if less than four people sign up.

May 19-21, 2011 - "TIMESCAPES," A GCA Flower Show, presented by the Stamford Garden Club, at The Stamford Museum & Nature Center, 39 Scofieldtown Road, Stamford, CT. Hours open to the public: May 20, 1pm - 5pm and May 21, 10am - 4pm. Contact: Marianne Pollak at mmpollak@aol.com

JUNE EVENTS

June 15-19, 2011 – World Association of Flower Arrangers (WAFA) 10^th WORLD FLOWER SHOW!! “This Glorious Earth.” Seaport World Trade Center, Boston, MA. Hours: Thurs., June 16 from 11am-9pm; Fri., June 17-Sat., June 18 from 10am-9pm; Sun., June 19 from 10am-5pm.

Over 600 Floral designs from over 30 countries will be displayed. This is the FIRST TIME that WAFA has had a show in the United States and I’m sure it will be a spectacular event!

We are able to get tickets at the group ticket rate of $20 per person. We must have 20 people per day sign up in order to qualify for the group ticket rate. Proposed dates are Thursday, June 16^th and Friday, June 17^th as we believe these dates to be the least crowded. PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THIS ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY!
