It was with great sadness that I learned that Joyce Harris died this week. I shall remember her as an Horticulturist's mentor to our Zone II and to your club and especially to the Federated Garden Clubs of CT. She wrote numerous flower show schedules and a column I always looked forward to reading in the Federated Newsletter. I send my deepest sympathy to your club members, for you have lost a loyal and valuable friend and member. May her legacy live on.

Katie Stewart is a member of the New Canaan Garden Club and has held most every post in Zone II, including our Director. She currently serves as the Co-Chairman of the 2009 Annual Meeting in Providence and is on the Centennial BOA Committee. She is a longtime friend of our garden club.
