Christmas Workshop Planning

The Christmas Workshop is in full swing with Judi Frudenberg in charge of the Civic portion and Betsy Nininger in charge of the design portion. Lucy Elliot is the mainstay, providing the ornaments, tags, and furnishing each and every container with oases. Please be on the look out for good dried material which you then can spray gold or silver. These would be used in the large arrangements which travel to the Community Soup Kitchen as well as the ones which get placed at the various nursing stations within each nursing home. You can either bring the sprayed material to the November meeting or bring it to the Carriage House at Edgerton Park on the morning of the workshop. We make small decorated trees out of boxwood and the larger arrangements are made from the greens which you will be bringing to the meeting on December, 7th.
This is the one community out reach which involves everyone, all categories of membership so pleas , as you always have done, help to support it. Do not worry if you think you are not an arranger and are afraid of making the little boxwood trees. On Workshop day EVERYONE is an Arranger and there will be people stationed at each table to offer any help . This is fun and a good chance to get caught up on news and dare I say gossip,? oh no !!! Lucy will have the containers in their boxes at the November meeting. If you are a Home Chairman, please meet Lucy outside and she will see that you get what you need. If you are unable to pick up your containers please make arrangements to have someone do that for you. Each box will also contain full instructions for soaking the oases, etc. Thank you to one and all.
