APRIL PROGRAM

Having a deep appreciation for floral design, I’m always excited when a floral designer is on the program schedule. This year, Sherry Sanelli will present “Flowers with Flair.” It was Sherry who recommended a more creative floral design program because she was aware of the vast floral design talent of our members.

And have no fear, even though Sherry will also be presenting a floral design program at AquaTurf the following week, the designs she creates in front of our eyes will be completely different than those she will be doing at AquaTurf. If you’re interested in purchasing one of the designs, we will be auctioning them off at the end of the program so don’t forget your checkbooks. I am so appreciative of our own Jim Niederman, who has accepted my invitation to act as “auctioneer” that day. Thank you Jim!

In addition, a special “open conservation meeting” will be held prior to the general meeting, at 11:15am in the Jones Auditorium. As many of you know, Mikey Hirschoff represented our club at the GCA National Affairs and Legislation Committee Conference, which was held Feb. 26-28. She will be reporting on what she learned in the educational sessions of that conference and will answer any questions regarding the special report she submitted to all members.

Please join us on Monday, April 7th for a great program and do consider coming early for the open conservation meeting.
Respectfully Submitted by Lisa Lovejoy, Program Chair
