Here is a link to info on the federal Clean Water Restoration Act, which is the bill Rep. Oberstar asked us to urgently support at our recent Garden Club of America Conservation mtgs. in DC.
As you know, it is a fix to the Rapannos Supreme Court decision which limited EPA oversight of the Clean Water Act to "navigable" waters. Rep Oberstar's bill removes that word and spells out the original Clean Water Act's intent to protect ALL waters, including intermittent ones. Passage of this bill this session is the top priority for the Clean Water Network.
