Question:
I bought a Nikko Blue Hydrangea three years ago. It bloomed beautifully the first summer and then never again. Its foliage grows more beautiful every year, but no blooms. I don't prune it and I fertilize very lightly. Any ideas of how to coax it into blooming?
Horticulture Tips:
Amaryllis - Add heat from below
Poinsettias -Let plants dry and wait with all-purpose fertilizer until spring. Prune after bracts have faded leaving about 8" of stem. Move outdoors in partial sun when night temperature is 55 degrees or above. Plants start setting buds around October 1 when nights grow longer and light should be restricted to normal daylight hours.
