Martine Richards, co-opted member Edith Wilson and Project Trees chair Jennifer Radford wait beside the bulldozer for the arrival of two deciduous hardwoods from Millane's nursery.
The trees arrive on a flatbed to a welcome by GCNH group: Anna Ramirez, Edith Wilson, Martine Richards, Avril Winks, Jennifer Radford and President Betsy Nininger. The Care of Trees crew members and arborist Peter Tyrell are standing in the rear.
The tree crew levels up the scarlet oak, quercus coccinea. Our other tree is a tulip tree, liriodendrom tulipifera. Both will add Fall color to this section of the New Haven Green.Please do look at our new trees at they leaf out. They are a promise for the future and continue the Club's pledge to contribute to the care of trees on the New Haven Green.
