On Thursday 4/10 the GCNH hosted a flower arranging workshop for 20
members of the Fellowship Place community. Each participant was
given a small simple lavender straw basket lined with oasis into which
they arranged spring pastel colored mini carnations, mums, daisies and
greens plus a colored egg and a bow or two to top it off. The members
had a wonderful time and were thoroughly engaged in creating these
cheerful Spring arrangements. They were also delighted to take their
creations home as decorations for Easter and to give as gifts to
family and friends. Special thanks to Bonnie Byers for all her
thoughtful planning and for leading this wonderful event. Christine
Janice and I were Bonnie's able assistants and we had as much fun
helping as the participants did creating. The Fellowship Place
participants were most grateful, repeatedly thanking us for this
activity. It was such a success we can't wait to do it again in the
fall.
