MARCH PROGRAM

Our March program will concentrate on conservation issues, a topic which is so important to a large number of our members. Carol Stoddard and Martha Phillips, from the Litchfield Garden Club, will be our speakers. They will have just arrived back from their trip to the NAL meeting in Washington DC and will be reporting on how environmental issues are shaping up as they relate to GCA.

In addition, “Designing Women” will be displaying some wonderful floral arrangements, whose theme typically derive from the program. I’m so curious to know what those talented ladies will come up with!

If you missed the February meeting, you missed picking out a fanciful container as part of a fun “floral arrangement challenge.” Have no fear, the remaining containers will be on display and you can pick one up then. These containers are to be taken home. Members are being asked to make an arrangement in their container and bring the arrangement to the APRIL meeting.

I look forward to seeing you all on Monday, March 2, 2009 for the next general meeting.

***Note on Timing: The March meeting is a DAYTIME meeting and will take place at the regular time, with lunch being served from 11:45am – 12:15pm. The program will begin at 12:15pm, with the business meeting to take place immediately after the program.
